Closure Extended to April 25

The health and safety of Washington County Free Library customers and staff are of utmost importance. WCFL is following the advice of our federal, state, and local public health officials, as well as other institutions of education in Maryland, in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

At this time, all Washington County Free Library branches will remain closed to the public with a tentative opening date of Saturday, April 25.

Items that currently have due dates between March 13 and April 24 will be due on May 4. Fines will not accrue while the library is closed. Meeting rooms will continue to be closed through the end of April and tentatively reopen on May 4.

We encourage the community to continue to stay informed, explore the library’s digital content, and practice social distancing.
