Adult Services Branch: Clear Spring Clear Spring Library Chris Copley (winner of last year's Washington County Free Library's adult short story award) is presenting two free workshops to help people get their short stories finished in time for the 2012 deadline of March 23rd.
The free workshops will be held at Leonard P. Snyder Memorial Library in Clear Spring. Chris will present this free, short story-writing seminar series for area residents over two Saturdays, Feb. 25 and March 3. The seminar will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day. Call 301-842-2730 to register.

Hone your writing skills with expert guidance from published author, Alan Hedges, at the Smithsburg Library. Have your writing evaluated and receive guidance on style, grammar, structure, and other writing standards. Mr. Hedges will offer suggestions on how to present and package your writings, and who to send it to for publishing. Four sessions—attend one or all of them: January 17 and 31, February 14 and 28, all 6:30 p.m. -8 p.m. Please call 301-824-7722 to register.
