Description:Dr. Wayne Wold presents "Charmin' Carmen: Resistance Is Futile." 
      
Dr. Wold, Associate Professor of Music and College Organist at Hood College in Frederick, teaches courses in theory and music appreciation at Hood College and offers private lessons in composition, organ, and harpsichord. He is also an active church musician. He holds a bachelor of music degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota; a master of sacred music degree from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio; and a doctor of musical arts degree from Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, Virginia. As a solo recitalist and hymn improvisor he has performed across the U.S. and in Europe, and as an accompanist he has performed in Lincoln Center and several venues in the U.S. and Europe.
 
The “Great Composers Lecture Series” is brought to you through a partnership with the Maryland Symphony Orchestra. Additional lectures are scheduled for March 3 and April 14.
