Friends of the Library

A voluntary, nonprofit organization whose purpose is to focus public attention on library services and needs.

  • FRIENDS sponsor events such as foreign language and culture classes for elementary school students
  • FRIENDS raise funds for special activities such as the Summer Reading Program
  • FRIENDS assist with training adults to use the computer catalogue
Join the Friends and Help

  • To work for full and fair funding of our library
  • to stimulate public support and greater use of our facilities
  • to encourage gifts, endowments, and other bequests to the library
  • to provide books, publications, equipment, and training not otherwise funded in the WCFL budget.

FRIENDS meet at the Central Library four times a year. Meetings are open to all.
