The Savvy Manager's Book Club

This month's selection: The Vagabonds: The Story of Henry Ford and Thomas Edison's Ten-Year Road Trip by Jeff Guinn

From 1914 to 1925 an elite group of American businessmen (Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Harvey Firestone), took summer road trups-- not just for recreation but also to examine the condition of America's roadways and imrpove the practicality of automobile travel. Naming themselves the Vagabonds, this group visited many areas of the U.S., including Washington County where it was joined by Ptrsident Warren Harding.
