Funding Research Center (FRC)
The Funding Research Center (FRC) is located in the Business
and Government Information Center on the north mezzanine level of the library. Specialized assistance
may be provided while closed in the evenings and weekends by reference staff during these times.
The
Washington County Free Library is a Cooperating Collection
of the Foundation Center, the nation's leading authority
on philanthropy. WCFL provides free access to grantmaker
directories, guides and books on nonprofit management from the Foundation Center and other materials relating to grants.
The library provides in-house access to two databases from the Foundation Center:
- Foundation Directory Online Professional
updated weekly, this database contains more than 92,000
foundations, corporate donors and grantmaking public
charities with complete profiles of the top 20,000
US foundations.
- Grants to Individuals Online
contains more than 6,500 foundation and public charity programs that fund students, artists, researchers and other individual grantseekers.
