Weedmonkey is the haunting true story of a Washington County woman and tells the story of growing up in the coal mining camps of Appalachia during the Depression as the daughter of the town prostitute. The author wrote the book as a deathbed promise to her mother who passed away in 2006.

Weedmonkey was most recently featured at the Miami Book Fair where it received the  Honorable Mention in the Reader's Favorite Book Awards (Non-fiction-Memoir category).

Lisa describes herself as a laid back, Bohemian, 70s rocker chick who loves to write! She writes horror, inspirational, and non-fiction books and under the pen name, Veronica Moreau, writes sexy rock and roll romance.

She has been a feature writer and columnist for her local newspaper for 17 years, has raised Rottweilers for over 18, and she loves to cook, bake, and work in her garden.

Books will be available to purchase today. Reservations are not required but are appreciated to help us prepare for the book sale/signing following the program.
