Digital copies of Marriage Records from 1886-1970.

We have exciting news!  Digital copies of Washington County, Maryland Marriage Records from 1886-1970 are now available on our website!  If you know the year you can browse through our collection here and print what you need.  If you are looking for records, our searchable index database of Marriage Records includes Marriages Records from 1861-1919, 1927-1949, other years have not been indexed.  (PDF records compiled, indexed and edited by Marsha L. If you need a certified copy you will need to contact the Marriage License Department at the Circuit Court for Washington County in Hagerstown. Mail your request to the Clerk of the Circuit Court, 24 Summit Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21740.

Please include in your request:

• Names of Bride and Groom (Bride's name should be the name she used immediately before the marriage in question)
• Date of Marriage (Approximate year at minimum)
• A check or money order in the amount of $5.50 for the each certified copy requested, payable to the Clerk of the Court.
