McCauley Lecture:
Anna Cueto presents "Prominent Women of Hagerstown"

"Prominent Women of Hagerstown" explores the many ways in which local women have shaped and guided the history of Washington County. From saving the life of one of America's Supreme Court Justices to establishing a nationally recognized nursing school and library system, the women of Hagerstown have impacted state, local, and national history in ways that still resonate today.

Anna Cueto currently serves as curator for the Washington County Historical Society. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from McDaniel College and a Masters of Library and Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh. Her current areas of research specialization include the local suffrage movement and cultural identity in early American Germanic settlements.

This event is free to attend. Please call 301-739-3250 ext. 350 with questions. Reservations are not required, but are appreciated.
