Lead Maintenance Technician (F-T)

The Washington County Free Library is hiring a full-time Lead Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for managing the care and maintenance of the Fletcher Branch including all heating, air-conditioning, equipment, and cleaning of interior space and exterior façade and grounds.  Responsibility also include some interior and exterior maintenance at the seven county branch locations.  Supervises and schedules maintenance staff along with floor scrubbing and waxing; meeting room set-up; snow removal; window washing, policing grounds; trimming and watering shrubbery, dusting, emptying trash baskets; vacuuming carpet, cleaning restroom, etc.

Education and experience: High School or GED with some advance training and education preferred.  Minimum one-year experience in managing the operations and maintenance of a major physical facility.

Computer skills; effectively be able to communicate and interact with other employees, the public and vendors through the use of telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle or feel objects and controls.

Additional requirement: Valid motor vehicle operator’s license.

Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
