Part-Time Bookmobile Library Associate

The Washington County Free Library Bookmobile Department is seeking a creative, dedicated, service-orientated individual and hard working individual to work part-time (20 hr/wk) in the Bookmobile Department.  This is a non-MLS position. Prorated sick, vacation and personal leave benefits offered.  This is a four member staff which provides bookmobile and outreach services to residents of the county including: able to take the first bookmobile service (1905) into the future.  KSA: Customer service experience.  Excellent interpersonal skills, have the ability or capability of learning to drive a 35' vehicle (Like a school bus) and a smaller 17' vehicle (coming in 2023).  Some heaving lifting involved (must be able to lift bags up to 40 lbs); able to work as a team or alone; have the ability to provide library programming or be capable of learning; be flexible and be able to remain unruffled;be comfortable with change; like to learn; work well with all kinds of people (especially children and seniors).

Bachelor's degree required

Valid driver's license required

Must secure MD certification with 2 years of appointment. Which requires 90 contact hours of approved in-service training through Library Associate Training Institute(LATI)
