Young Adult Service Full-time Library Associate I

The Fletcher Branch of the Washington County Free Library, YA Dept. has an immediate full-time opening with benefits.  The candidate will be an Associate Librarian I. He/she must be an energetic, team-oriented YA Library Associate with a strong public service commitment. Candidate will be responsible for assisting in developing a specialty in the gaming, graphic novel/Mango collections. Assisting with community outreach with the possibility of being a designated liaison for one or more of these connections. Staff the reference desk, talking with teens and answering questions. We are looking for the ideal candidate to manage gaming programs, assisting the Washingteenian blog. Constant contact and collaboration with young adults (age 13-18) including those with diverse backgrounds and abilities.    Helping the committee to plan special events and other teen activities within the department. Create displays.  It is essential that the candidate be team minded and be open to changes as new ideas and programs emerge. Education/Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree.
