Boonsboro History Talk May 2023
On May 11, the Boonsboro Historical Society will present speaker and author, Curtis Older, who will discuss his new book Hood's Defeat near Fox's Gap. The book rewrites the battle of South Mountain at Fox's Gap during the 1862 Maryland Campaign. Hood was nowhere near Fox's Gap as other authors have claimed. The book includes pictures of the greatest discovery on the battlefield in 160 years. Mr. Older is a descendant of Samuel Fox for which Fox's Gap is named. The public is invited to attend.
