Children's Easy Picture Book Contest 2022
RULES FOR ENTRY
The contest includes four categories: Grades 4-5, Grades 6-8, Grades 9-12, and Adult.
- Entrants must be residents of Washington County, MD or have a valid Washington County Free Library card.
- Only one entry per person accepted. All text and illustrations in the book entries must be original work and may be on any topic. All entries must include author and illustrator name, category, address, phone number, and email (if available).Books will be judged based on the age of the oldest person on the team.
- There will be one winner chosen for each category. This winner will receive a hardbound edition of their book. The library also recognizes second and third place honorable mentions.
- Winners will be honored by the Fletcher Branch Library in Hagerstown during Children’s Book Week in May. The winning books will be read aloud.
Entries may be submitted between January 2 and March 15, 2022 to any library branch throughout the county or they may be mailed to:

Mailed entries must be postmarked no later than Mar. 15, 2022. Please include a self-addressed/stamped envelope if you want your original work returned.
